I'm not sure if it's because I wasn't never good at math, and ratios and proportions always eluded me, but every time I've tried to make pizza on my own, the ratios have been entirely off. The crust is too thin and overcooked in some spots, and thick and raw in others. There sauce is somehow never evenly spread. Well, the future is now and there is a 3D printer that can make sure your pizza is perfectly crafted. Foodini to the rescue! Created by Natural Machines, a Barcelona-based company, created the machine which can print pizza, hamburgers, and spaghetti. Watch the printer make a perfect pizza:
You do have to bake it in the oven yourself, but we're not complaining about the one part of the process that involves sitting back and allowing the smell of glorious pizza to fill your home.
Right now, you have to buy your own ingredients and put them into reusable capsules. Soon, though, the company hopes to have already-filled capsules. The printer takes care of the difficult parts that need to be precise. We're into it. Right now the machine costs $2,000. For reference, a microwave can cost less than $50. But for a restaurant, a machine handling prep work could be incredibly valuable.
