Makers and developers that are interested in creating their very own CNC or 3D printer, may be interested in a new combination controller called the Limitless 1.0 which has been created by Jered Adams.
The Limitless allows users to seamlessly switch between both CNC milling and 3D printing and is equipped with I/O's for both and will also support both laser control and clay extruding.
Check out the video below to learn more about this unique combination 3D printer and CNC controller board which has now launched over on Kickstarter to raise the $43,000 it requires to go into full production. Its creator explains more about the inspiration and functions you can expect to enjoy from the first edition of the Limitless 1.0 control board.
Ever wish there was a controller that had all the inputs and outputs for controlling a 3D printer and a milling machine? Well now there is! This controller can seamlessly switch between milling and 3D printing! It also allows for laser control and clay extruding.
The way we see things is, you shouldn't have to own 2 machines, when one machine can be used for both. This controller enables you do exactly that. Can't afford a big machine? That's ok. You can upgrade your machine as you find the need. This board will allow you to grow at your own pace. But one thing you won't out grow is, our Limitless controller board.
We want to be able to give more power to the DIY community. If we can make a product that reduces cost of ownership, we believe that we can aid in the technological advancement of our society. How? With all the people inventing things from the comfort of their home these days, having the proper tools can greatly increase the efficiency of people trying to accomplish their goals. Plus, if those tools are more affordable, people are more willing to take a chance to bring their idea's to life.
